I’m Kiana, a UX/UI Designer with a background in property management, TV broadcasting, and digital media. I enjoy solving core design problems and experienced in leading teams to complete projects on time and under budget.
No matter where I’ve worked, I’ve always been obsessed with the art and science of great user experiences. For example, I’ve worked on building projects alongside design and architect firms, focusing on user-friendly building features such as game & media room renovations, package locker installation, and pet play area. I’ve worked with IT departments to address critical problems like payment processing, reservation features, and parking features. Additionally, I’ve delivered reporting to key stakeholders such as financial details, budgeting, and project timelines.
At a young age, I was passionate about painting, and that eventually led me to attend school for digital design. I became inquisitive about motion graphics and learned how to create cartoons and moving graphics for TV commercials (KBTC Tacoma). While my prototyping skills have been influenced by a love of motion design, my visual design aesthetic is shaped by my background in TV broadcasting, marketing, and digital media.
In my free time, I enjoy reading comics (Sarah Anderson, Catana Comics), listen to UX podcasts (The Boagworld UX Show, UX cake), and the highlight of my day is to play with other people’s pets. One interesting thing most people don’t know about me is that I speak fluent Pharisee.
